What Novaxera is

Novaxera is a set of 18 free online tools for everyday document and image work: converting PDF to Word and Word to PDF, compressing, merging, splitting and editing PDFs, adding or removing passwords and watermarks, compressing and converting images, turning images into PDFs, extracting text with OCR and removing image backgrounds. Every tool works in a web browser on a computer or phone, with no account and nothing to install. See all tools.

Who runs Novaxera

Novaxera is an independent project, launched in 2025 and maintained by Ghaith Alali. Its goal is simple: common file tasks should be free, fast and private — without sign-ups, paywalls or vague promises about what happens to your files.

How we work

• No accounts. There is nothing to sign up for, so Novaxera holds no profiles, passwords or file history.
• Short retention. Uploads are deleted as soon as processing finishes and results within 60 minutes. Details: Security & file handling.
• Documented behaviour. Every tool page states the engine, settings and limits, so you know exactly what will happen to your file. See How Novaxera works.
• Honest limits. Where a tool can't do something well — such as reading handwriting — its page says so.
• Proven open-source engines. PyMuPDF, pdf2docx, LibreOffice, Pillow, Tesseract OCR and rembg do the heavy lifting.

Arabic support

Novaxera was built with Arabic users in mind: Image to Text (OCR) recognizes Arabic among its 10 languages, and the PDF editor supports Arabic and other right-to-left text.

How Novaxera is funded
