Novaxera's PDF to Word converter reads the text layer of your PDF and rebuilds it as a Word document. The main engine is pdf2docx, an open-source library that reconstructs paragraphs, fonts, tables, images and page layout from the PDF. The result is a standard .docx file, so you can edit the wording, fix numbers or reuse sections in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, LibreOffice or WPS.
If pdf2docx cannot convert a particular file, Novaxera automatically falls back to a second engine, LibreOffice's converter, so you still get a Word file without uploading again. Both engines depend on real text inside the PDF. Scanned PDFs are only pictures of text, so they produce no editable text. For scans, run the file through Image to Text (OCR) first, which outputs a plain .txt file.
